Private Spaces

My private spaces are defined by what I imagine in my mind and make new discoveries in my painted brushstrokes. What previous non-existing flowers, figures and animals will emerge? What new lines, shapes and symbols will become an expression of emotions past and present?

My private spaces are inspired by the patterns of nature. The beauty of tree roots as they meander down washed away soil, branches against the sky, the rhythmic lines of seashells and flowers, life deep under the earth and the ocean and on and on. These patterns are not necessarily obvious in my work, but they are kept in my mind as I imagine the imagery.
